New barbell hook straps are here: The ultimate upgrade for The Squat Harness V3 or V4*! Simply unclip the original hook straps and use these instead for quicker and easier barbell loading. Made from the same durable and safe loading hooks found with wrist wraps except these are on an adjustable length (12-16 inch) strap with a carabiner and is designed specifically for use with your Squat Harness*.

These straps are only recommended for use with The Squat Harness V3 or V4 up to 500lbs per pair. It is recommended to keep your hands over the hooks in similar fashion to how wrist wraps hooks are used. DO NOT CONNECT THESE TO THE HANGING LOOPS; CONNECT THE CARABINER DIRECTLY AROUND THE SIDE OF THE HARNESS!
Not enough testing has been done with The Squat Harness Lite 2.0 and free weights to determine its maximum load capacity. The Squat Harness Lite 2.0 should only be used with cable machines or resistance bands.

I bought the harness to do open trap bar exercises specifically. The included Straps did not work out well for this exercise. So I had to buy the extra trap bar hooks accessory. I believe these should have been included with the harness v4 for the cost. A little upsetting, since they cost so much. I also find that those hooks, help for a variety of Exercises that I did not expect to use the harness for, like standing calf Raises on a smith machine.
I prefer working out with no shirt when its so hot in the garage and the starps are only uncomfortable where the front metal hooks are stitched in. Harness material in that area tend to poke into my skin on the sides. I just wish that they were totally comfortable while using without a shirt on, but that can easily be fixed I'm sure wearing even a tank top, seems like an upgrade in design would keep this in mind that if this device could be used completely shirtless, without any skin chaffing, or any skin irritability or discomfort. It looks like it does a lot of great exercises with a cable machine which I also have but I choose not to use it for any cable exercises. Like I said, I only bought it so that I can continue to do my open trap exercises as I now suffer from joint and tendon pain in both arms and shoulders. So this works absolutely perfect for that. If I do decide to start using it for my cable machine. I would have to buy a raised platform because the cables don't start at a low Enough pont for me to get a deep enough squat. I could tell from watching all the videos that this vest can do so much more than what I bought it for so I expect in the future, I will use this vest for a lot more exercises And i'm glad I made the purchase.

Thank you for your honest feedback. Regarding the hex bar, there actually are several ways to connect without any additional accessories; it's just not as convenient as doing it with the barbell hook straps. Basically you could just wrap the regular hook straps which come with the harness around the handles and then place the hooks in the bottom/ front D rings (I know this probably sounds confusing but I will make a demp video for this soon.)
Also, i just added a new video to the Squat Harness V4 product page demonstrating how to slide the bottom cushion straps behind the connection point. This should make your lift a lot more comfortable, shirtless or not.

These hooks make barbell loading easy-peasy! I like to keep my hands over the hooks to prevent sliding, but the combination of the harness and the hook straps puts all of the emphasis on the lower body without needing to worry about unnecessary stain on grip or back.
I seen these in a video a while back and couldn't wait for them to become available. I mostly use my V3 with a diamond bar, so these straps make the loading process 10 times easier and faster. Also not to mention it is easier to achieve my desired range of motion. If you own the squat harness version 3 and use it with a bar, these straps are a must-have
